Announcement of the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a of Many Cultures Festival 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

What is it about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Vietnamese Day is a unique event dedicated to one of the most important and visible national minorities in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. For years, the Vietnamese community has been contributing to the cultural landscape of the city, combining tradition and modernity, local and global elements.<\/p>\n\n

Together with the festival, this day is co-created by Vietnamese people living in Poland \u2013 both those who arrived here twenty years ago and those who have settled here recently. We have invited the following people to collaborate with us: <\/p>\n\n

  • Association of Vietnamese in Poland (Vietnamese Community in Poland),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Viet Ba Cultural Centre in Warsaw (Nh\u00e0 V\u0103n h\u00f3a Vi\u1ec7t Ba t\u1ea1i Warszawa),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Lily Tran, a restaurateur from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, who has been feeding the residents of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a with delicious pho for 20 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • artist Kinga Nguyen,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Sunday, 21 September, will be a celebration of Vietnamese culture in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a \u2013 filled with the aroma of pho, the sounds of traditional instruments, bright lanterns and… Vietnamese tofu! And to finish off \u2013 Hanoi-style karaoke for everyone. <\/p>\n\n

    What’s on the program?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

    TOFU EXHIBITION \/\/ 3:00 p.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    The \u2018\u0110\u1eadu ph\u1ee5 \/ tofu\u2019 project \u2013 an immersive audiovisual installation by Kinga Nguyen (in collaboration with the \u2018powidoki smak\u00f3w\u2019 group, PWSFTviT). It is a story about the Vietnamese community in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a through the prism of tofu \u2013 from the 1990s to the present day. The installation engages all the senses to reveal the emotional and social significance of \u2018soy curd\u2019. BIO: Kinga Nguyen \u2013 an artist with Polish-Vietnamese roots, a student of editing at the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film School, author of experimental documentaries, collaborated with Susana de Sousa Dias in 2022. <\/p>\n\n

          TME POL\u00d3WKA CINEMA \/\/ 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

          Screening of the film Song Lang (2018), directed by Leon Lee. Film in Vietnamese with Polish subtitles. Running time: 1 hour 42 minutes. <\/p>\n\n
